The Benefits of swimming through winter for your child

Social

Learning in the water with an instructor makes all the difference; having the instructor available for questions and feedback is incomparable to watching a video or reading a book. Swimming with a club creates communities and culture. Students can then interact in and around the pool, forming lifelong bonds.

Cardiovascular

Swimming consistently increases your body’s ability to regulate its circulatory system, decreasing the likelihood of heart disease and stroke and increasing the efficiency of muscle fibres, and increasing endurance.

Mental

Swimming releases endorphins in your brain, making you feel calm and relaxed. Exercise reduces anxiety by relaxing the body and increasing your heart rate, pumping more blood to the brain.

Swimming through Winter

Swimming throughout winter means smaller class sizes and more of the instructor’s attention. Limited interruption can become the critical boost your child will need to finalise their skills and progress to the next level.
Across the board, swimmers who are taken out of lessons for an extended period regress in their skills and need help to regain confidence in their current enrollment. Families that cancel their enrollments during winter will lose their spots and have to go through the stressful process of rebooking at a time when everyone else is trying to beat them into classes.

Our pool deck is heated year-round to 26C. How nice would it be on a cold day to come in and relax in a toasty room while you watch your kid swim?
